Veritas Asset Management has appointed Ramesh Narayanaswamy, formerly at Fidelity, as global industrials analyst to work across its global strategies.

Narayanaswamy reports directly to Andy Headley who manages the group's three global products alongside Charles Richardson.

He joins a five-strong team of analysts who focus on various sectors within the global portfolio, including healthcare, resources, technology and telecoms, financials and consumer goods.

Narayanaswamy was at Fidelity for five years as a global equity analyst, where he specifically covered industries.

Headley said: "Ramesh's highly focused history looking at and analysing industrials on a global scale has given him an impressive understanding of the sector. His appointment will allow us to broaden our analytical coverage in this key space.

The Veritas global offering includes: the Veritas Global Equity Income Fund, the Veritas Global Foucus Fund and the Veritas Global Real Return Fund.
