Mark Rushton, former head of offering for UK wealth management at BNP Paribas, has joined Walker Crips Stockbrokers as CIO amid a drive for growth.

Last week Walker Crips Group announced a profit warning for the year to 31 March amid a fall in FUM in its asset management business.

Prior to BNP Paribas Rushton was head of corporate development at Fortis and before that worked at Cazenove Capital Management and UBS.

Walker Crips said his experience and industry specialisation ideally placed him to oversee Walker Crips' retail proposition.

He will report to Rodney FitzGerald, CEO, and will take the lead in evolving investment strategy and policy with a focus on refining the retail offering for private clients.
