Barings has re-hired Clive Burstow from BlackRock to work as director and resources investment manager in its global energy and materials team.
Reporting to Jonathan Blake, head of global energy and materials, Burstow will assist in managing Blake's Global Resources Fund as well as producing research and stock ideas.
Burstow previously worked for Barings as an analyst between 2004 and 2007, before joining AllianceBernstein.
He subsequently worked as a vice president with responsibility for analysis and investment across the mining sector at BlackRock.
“Supported by the growth and investment in emerging markets, we have a strong belief in the long term commodities story, with agriculture and resources being our two key focuses,” said Blake.
