Brewin Dolphin beefs up Cambridge office with trio of hires

Heather Sonnet

Catherine Glennon, Norma Haynes and Adam Hildred are the latest evidence of the discretionary manager’s push into the financial planning space.

The Cambridge office is itself relatively new, having opened in February 2016 as part of Brewin Dolphin’s strategy to expand its presence in the South East.

Hildred will officially join the team on 24 April from Lloyds Private Bank, where he enjoyed a 19-year career.

Glennon and Haynes have already started as paraplanners.

Both are former colleagues of Cambridge office head Heather Sonnet, from her former place of employment, NW Brown & Co.

Sonnet said both Hildred and Haynes bring a wealth of financial planning experience with them, with over 50 years combined, adding that demand for its Cambridge presence had grown "beyond [its] expectations".

Sonnet added that the Cambridge office would work closely with the investment management team in Ipswich, “to provide a full package for clients across the whole East Anglian region”.
