The UK-based merchant bank said its private office will help clients expand their businesses, protect their assets and grow their capital.

The division will operate out of London, Jersey, Geneva and Mauritius, with each office retaining independence in order to “maintain important Chinese walls”.

The company said its existing trust and fiduciary, and private client services businesses will also feature within its new division.

Catherine Grum, head of the private office, said the new venture will “continue to partner with the world’s leading tax advisers, lawyers, financial institutions and investment managers to deliver a comprehensive service offering”.

Chief executive of Salamanca, Martin Bellamy, added that the private office will provide clients with a way of accessing the group’s wider corporate risk, business intelligence, and corporate advisory services.

“It will also give [clients] potential access to Salamanca’s own corporate and real estate direct investment opportunities.”

Established in 2002, Salamanca provides services in investments, advice, corporate risk services, business intelligence and investigations, and private office.
